monody End User License Agreement

This agreement is between you and BlazeApps LLC, {{ADDRESS}} ("we", "us"). It covers the monody desktop application for macOS and Windows ("the Software"). By installing or using the Software you accept it. If you don't accept it, don't install or use the Software.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on computers you own or control, for personal or commercial music production, subject to this agreement and to the plan you have (Free, or a paid subscription). A paid plan unlocks the features and AI allowance described at monody.ai/pricing for as long as it is active.

2. What you may not do

You may not: copy or redistribute the Software (except normal backups); sell, rent or sublicense it; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it except where the law expressly allows despite this restriction; remove or work around license checks, plan limits or usage metering; share your account credentials; or use the Software or its AI features to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.

3. Your music

You own the projects, audio and MIDI you create with the Software, including material the built-in AI assistant generates or edits at your request, to the extent the law allows anyone to own it. We claim no rights in your work. When you use AI features, the prompt and the relevant project data are processed as described in our Privacy Policy (monody.ai/privacy).

4. Accounts, subscriptions and AI credits

Sign-in, paid plans and AI credits are governed by our Terms of Service (monody.ai/terms). Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. The core editor works without an account; AI features require one.

5. Updates

We may provide updates. Some updates may be required to keep using online features (sign-in, AI). This agreement applies to them unless they come with different terms.

6. Open-source components

The Software contains open-source components under their own licenses, listed in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md (included with the Software). Those licenses govern those components.

7. Termination

This license ends automatically if you breach this agreement. You may end it at any time by uninstalling the Software. Sections 3, 8, 9 and 10 survive termination.

8. No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We don't promise it is error-free or will never lose data — keep backups of your projects. Nothing in this agreement limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or USD 50 if you paid nothing). This does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. General

This agreement is governed by the laws of {{JURISDICTION}}, without regard to conflict-of-law rules; mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence still applies. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Questions: support@monody.ai.
